MassTransfer Program
The MassTransfer Program is unique to the state of Massachusetts. In short, it is a program that is accessed through your local community colleges. Following graduation from high school, a student who enrolls in an associates degree program at the community college-level may also start out working with their college advisor to take part in the MassTransfer Program. The student will complete the general graduation requirements for their associates degree (typically 60-credits or two years of college) before transferring to one of the state's 4-year public universities. The students who participate in this program get their general education requirements done at a fraction of the cost, have fewer admissions requirements to then attend the 4-year university, and will then only have two years remaining before next earning their bachelors degree. There are many articulation agreements through the community colleges and universities, that enable the student immediate entrance into the BA degree program without standardized test scores, letters of recommendation, etc. For MassTransfer students who have excelled in their first two years of college, there are also typically discounts for the remaining two years of their study. If you would like more information about this program and the advantages it carries, please check out the following website or send me questions (Jonathan Nardi - jnardi@natickps.org): MassTransfer Website.
Right from the website you will be able to look up the requirements for the program, and for the transfer process, as well as the A2B Degrees (Associate to Bachelor Degrees) that are available across the state.
